Anastasia Photo Gallery in New York is hosting Natan Dvir’s next exhibition Coming Soon, featuring a series of unreleased works from the Israeli photographer’s long-run depiction of the bizarre relationship between humans and advertising in the city of New York.

Enormous billboards, while located in the background of each image, stand above flattened streets and sidewalks, turning the unaware people’s daily lives and activities into a staged puppet show. Dvir drives us into an original journey in New York, emphasizing the confusion between visual and actual experience of the city.

Natan Dvir was born in 1972 in Nahariya, Israel. He studied at Tel Aviv University and at the School of Visual Arts in New York. His work has been published and exhibited extensively in the United States, Europe, South America and Israel. New York-based documentary photographer and photojournalist, he is represented by Polaris Images photo agency and Anastasia Photo Gallery.
