Antoni Muntadas’ exhibition ‘…et avec cela?’, hosted at MFC – Michèle Didier gallery, belongs to a set of two shows; the second, ‘…et avec ceci?’ is presented simultaneously at the galerie Gabrielle Maubrie, both in Paris.

The exhibition discusses the subject of consumerism and investigates its relationship with the art market. By saturating the white cube with an ensemble of silkscreens, prints and posters, he turns it into a traditional shop, thus emphasizing the role of the gallery as a business itself.

Antoni Muntadas (Paris, 1942) lives and works in New York since 1971 and is regarded as a pioneer of multimedia art. His major retrospective Entre / Between, gathering 40 years of his career, was shown at Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofìa (Madrid 2011), Fundaçao Gulbenkian (Lisbon 2012), Galerie Nationale Jue de Paume (Paris 2012) and Vancouver Art Gallery (2013).
